NEOSTRATA- the science of skin regeneration.

This blog post has been kindly sponsored by NEOSTRATA. All thoughts and opinions expressed, are solely my own.

Fine lines, wrinkles, dull skin. Those are fighting words where I come from, ha! As much as I’m pro ’embrace and love yourself’. I do believe part of that loving includes taking care of your skin as best as you can. Let’s face it, free radicals aren’t our friends and the damage they cause to our skin seems inevitable.

Even though these villains seem invincible, there is a hero in this story! NEOSTRATA is one of my favorite anti aging skincare lines EVER.

I started this skincare regimen a little over a month ago and I can literally see fine lines disappearing. Even my husband mentioned a week ago “I can really tell a difference since you started using those creams”.

Their Bionic Face Serum is complete magic too. As I write this I’m thinking how I need to grab some more. I used it so often that I’m already out! The Bionic Face Serum is wonderful to help restore texture and just leaves your face with this beautiful glow. That “I woke up like this” look! Which to be honest, is exactly what I’m after these days!

Seriously, goodies after goodies of bionic lotions that help improve your skin and they ACTUALLY work. It’s not all talk!

I shared my top 3 NEOSTRATA products I use before applying my makeup everyday on my ig stories and thought I would add them on here as well.

Ladies this is something I believe in and use daily. I want you to know there is a product out there that can help reduce those fine lines and give your skin new life! This is it for me. If you’re unsure, start with the Bionic Face Serum, and you’ll be thanking me, I promise!

Be sure to check it out!

Did You Say Face Mask on a Stick??

This blog post is sponsored by Olay. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

A few weeks ago, I received the most amazing Olay box. Filled with three different kinds of face masks. What I couldn’t believe was these masks were on a stick! Pretty genius right??

As I started going through my personalized box, there was this sketch of my face (btw, whoever drew that, you have some talent my friend). I noticed that each section of my face was color coded according to the mask color. Right away, I knew which mask would be best to target certain areas. The three masks in my kit were the Glow Boost, Fresh Reset, and my personal fave the Pore Detox

If you’re curious about the breakdown of what each one is for, I’m here to let you know!

Glow Boost

With this mask, it’s all in the name! It reveals your skin’s natural glow with micro-exfoliating white charcoal. So good!

Fresh Reset

This mask is perfect for those days your skin is a little lack luster. It’s the ultimate fresh look + feel. This little guy is full of anti-oxidant minerals!

Pore Detox

This bad boy gives your stressed skin a break! The black charcoal in this mask reduces the appearance of pores, leaving your skin so soft.

I’ve REALLY enjoyed the precise application of these Olay masks. In what world could you ever use three different face masks at the same time, without making a mess?! These are truly #allmasknomess

They’re easy to find too! Just stop by your local Walmart and grab them in the face care aisle.

Honestly, these #Olay masks are changing the way we pamper our skin! I’m THE biggest fan. Give them a try, you’ll love them too, you’ll see 🙂

‘Good Starts Young’, Am I right?

This post is sponsored by The Allstate Foundation. All opinions are my own,

Last weekend we took a trip to one of our favorite cities, D.C. It’s sort of become our new yearly (unofficial) family tradition.

It was THE most beautiful weekend too. Extremely cold, but so beautiful. We love getting a chance to see D.C. in all it’s glory!

When I heard that The Allstate Foundationwas launching the Good Starts Young  campaign at the National Mall, I knew that was something we had to take the kids to. If you’re not too familiar with this foundation, I have to tell you all about it! The Allstate Foundation cares for young people and empowers them to succeed by helping to develop our next generation of leaders and history-makers. What I love most about Good Starts Young is that they give future leaders the tools and resources they need to learn critical skills. They also provide opportunities to put these practices into use through volunteering and service related programs. Amazing, right? THIS is why we had to check out their event! Also, this is not just focused on the kids, this program aims to educate parents (and youth) about SEL (social and emotionallearning) skills!

Before hearing about The Allstate Foundation Good Starts Young, I vaguely knew the term SEL. I’m so glad we invested time into learning more about this program. Social and emotional learning is a neat process of learning that includes five core competences. Self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making. Kind of a long-winded explanation, ha! But, now you know!

When we arrived at The Allstate Foundation event, we were greeted by pedestals that lined the national mall. Each pedestal featured an aspirational goal, engraved with inscriptions such as “Future President of the United States”. People were invited to stand on the ones they identified with. It was so neat! Our kids really enjoyed reading through the inscriptions and finding the ones they related to. It was such an amazing opportunity to talk with them about the future and how they could work towards that goal. Ways in which we could encourage, and empower them to follow this dream all the way through.

With The Allstate Foundation Good Starts Young’, I have felt so confident in our approach towards empowering our children, our future leaders. Take time to look into this, be the support system they need to achieve those goals. It takes a village you guys! So thankful for these basic tools. I’m excited to watch the future unfold for these three. Also, I’m pretty sure Phoenix willbe the next future president. He’s been making this claim since he was 3. Years later, still going strong!

How are you encouraging your kids to pursue those dreams? Be sure to visit GoodStartsYoung.orgfor more information.

Back to the routine and it feels so good…

Did I just reveal my type A personality? In my defense, it wasn’t always crossing off to do’s on my check lists. Being a mom of three has a way of shifting those gears for you, am I right?

In any case, “routine”, I kinda love it! Summer is dwindling down and even though I’m not ready to let it go, back to school time is inching closer and closer. Getting back into our daily routine is growing in appeal. Early bed times, hayyy!

However, we do have two and a half weeks left of this freedom, and when we’re not laying out by the beach we’re doing our back to school prepping. JCPenney has been a favorite stop for us! Have you guys been in there lately? The Arizona line is insane. So many “I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE” pieces. I was able to find so many goodies for the kids and I walked out of there with some fun things for me too, because why not?!

Liam’s look: pocket t shirt/ shorts.

Phoenix’s look: button up shirt / denim jeans

Avenleigh’s dress

Can I just say, I’m still in shock that I was able to find SUCH great items and keep within our budget. That’s huge. Mom’s you know that is worth the awkward happy dance! Seriously, I even found them great denim coats.

Her jacket is currently sold out- but you can find similar styles here

I’m sorry but I’m obsessed with the fringe on Avenleigh’s jacket AND the fringe is totally detachable- major win there! Also, Phoenix’s jacket is soo rad! Just give me all the denim everything! I’m THAT person.

And for me, I had some luck with the Arizona brand as well! I’m really loving this cold shoulder top, you guys. It can be worn as a cropped top too!

Also, these jeans! Aren’t they fun?? They’re by a.n.a- they’re stretchy and super comfortable.

If you haven’t quite started on your back-to-school shopping yet (even if you have, ha) make sure to take a peek in JCPenney’s. You’ll save so much and walk out with items you REALLY love! True story guys, I’ve already experienced it.

Squeeze in those beach while you can!

BTS with Famous Footwear

It’s happening. Summer is slowly winding down. When you walk into stores now, you’re greeted by those back-to-school essentials. While, I’m mourning the slow fade of those summer days. I am excited for the kids to start their new school year. Especially with our youngest headed to kindergarten! AH! Seriously can’t believe that time is already here. She couldn’t be more stoked about it. We recently took a trip to Famous Footwear to find some shoes for that first day of school. Avenleigh couldn’t wait to pick out her own style.

I had a proud mom moment when she went straight or the glittery converse sneakers. I’ve done my job here, guys, ha! They are the cutest sneakers too. I love the material. They’re easy to wipe clean.

We had so much fun going up and down the aisles at famous footwear.  Picking out shoes for ALL of us, because the deals. WOW. Just talking about their expectations of their first day back to school. Wondering if their bff’s would be in their same class this year. It was such a sweet experience. These are the moments I remember when I think about my childhood. Back to school shopping with my mom was always my favorite. It’ so wild when it comes full circle!

When you do that BTS shopping this year, seriously, make a stop at Famous Footwear. I’m not even close to exaggerating the deals they have going on right now. We walked out with name brand shoes for each one of us and paid half the price! I even asked the girl to repeat our total because I couldn’t believe it. True story.  There’s a style for everyone- from NIKE to VANS, they’ve got it!

Happy shoe hunting!

Can a girl just get some support?

My weekday usually starts at 6:45 in the morning. In the process of getting ready (for what always seems like an eternal day), I make sure my outfit can be flexible enough to handle life with three kiddos. Ideally that means comfort but that reality is hard to come by most of the time. Which brings me to my next point…

Bras. Kind of a necessary evil, am I right? Raise your hands if you’ve spent years trying to find that “perfect” bra? I have. I can say with confidence that I have been wearing the wrong size and style for an excruciating long time. To say that my favorite part of the day is when the bra finally comes off, is an understatement.

Just recently, I heard of Natori and was blown away by the beauty and art behind this company. It’s more a lifestyle than just specific products, which is really refreshing to see as a consumer. To be honest, I was completely ready to burn a few of my bras, so trying these out, was definitely a treat!

It felt like christmas when they arrived! I couldn’t believe how luxurious they felt! I mean, quality, ladies!

Natori Flora Bra

AND I nailed the size, it fit like a glove!! I seriously cannot believe how much I ended up loving these bras. How comfortable they felt and were seamless underneath my clothing. No bulges, or textures poking through. It was like second skin.

I gave these a good test run too. I went all day, played hard, and really gave it a chance to prove its support. By the end of the day, I was still impressed, and not in any kind of pain.

Featured here is the Feathers Bra

As mom’s we need all the support we can get and that includes what’s under our clothes! No one has time to be uncomfortable when trying to get through the day, right? For me, it could make or break my mood. Just saying. Give these a look and see what you think.  The beauty behind Natori is that they design bras with YOU in mind, there is a bra for every shape and size. As someone who has been there and personally worn them, they are WORTH your time!

Just think… a future where you don’t have to rush home to yank off the bra!

Make a splash. Make it count.

We’re officially in back-to-school month around here! I’m not going to pretend I’m all smiles and giggles over this. When summer comes to an end, its always a little gut wrenching having to switch gears into ‘reality’. With that in mind, I always cling onto that silver lining. I love the clean slate of a new school year for the kiddos. I always wonder what their favorite subject will be this time around. What will they’ll excel in? How will they choose to express themselves?

As a family, the arts play a big role in our lives. Both my husband and I grew up in an atmosphere that helped nurture our penchant for music, painting (well, Tim not so much, HA), and so on. We definitely know the importance of that freedom to express ourselves through art. Naturally, we have always encouraged our children to do the same.

I am so excited to be partnering with Minnetonka on their ‘back-to school give back’ campaign (in collaboration with Lindsay Stewart). Both Minnetonka and Lindsay Stewart of Free Range Mama collaborated on a mommy & me hand painted collection that celebrates young imaginations and the people who help nurture them. The neatest thing about this collaboration was not only do we get to see a fun new twist on those beloved moccs but a portion of the proceeds will go towards funding classroom projects in partnership with DonorsChoose.org

This is such a wonderful way to give back to our children and empower them to express themselves! Also, you could always use a fun new pair of Moccasins 🙂

Make sure to check out this absolutely amazing project, join us in making a splash!
