Butterfly Pea Tea
If you’ve been on Pinterest for any amount of time, you must have seen a “blue” latte drink or two by now. I have been wanting to taste this blue drink for a while and finally got my hands on some loose leaf butterfly pea tea.
If you’re curious on the taste, it has a floral/ chamomile like flavor. Soo good but definitely needs to be sweetened to avoid bitterness.

This is the perfect drink any time of year, if you ask me. So here’s how to make it… or at least how I like to make mine.
What you’ll need…
Butterfly Pea Tea
• Two tablespoons of loose leaf butterfly pea tea
• 2 tsp of raw sugar
• boiling hot water
Sweet Cream
• 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
• half cup oat milk
• tbsp of sweetened condensed milk
How to make it…
Boil 2 cups of water in pot or kettle. Steep two tablespoons of loose leaf butterfly pea tea in cup for 5 minutes. The longer you leave tea to steep, the darker the shade of blue. Strain tea and mix in sugar. Set aside and allow to cool.
In a separate cup, pour in vanilla extract, oat milk, condensed milk. Froth with handheld frother for approximately 1- 2 minutes.
In a large glass, fill cup with ice and pour 3/4 of tea over ice. Top off with sweet cream and enjoy!
