Make a splash. Make it count.

We’re officially in back-to-school month around here! I’m not going to pretend I’m all smiles and giggles over this. When summer comes to an end, its always a little gut wrenching having to switch gears into ‘reality’. With that in mind, I always cling onto that silver lining. I love the clean slate of a new school year for the kiddos. I always wonder what their favorite subject will be this time around. What will they’ll excel in? How will they choose to express themselves? As a family, the arts play a big role in our lives. Both my husband and…

The Magic of a Tulle Skirt

Ladies, can we agree that wearing a tulle skirt makes you feel like a princess? If you’re being honest with your inner child, you know it does… and you may even be caught twirling in it a time or two. HA!  I used to think there was never the right event or moment I would…

Urban Walls

As promised, another post dedicated to sprucing up your space! So you guys know I’m slightly obsessed with peel and stick wallpaper. I found it’s fantastic counterpart, peel and stick decals!  Back in December we decided to do some minor improvements in Avenleigh’s room. I knew I wanted it to feel less toddler and more…

Walker Edison- The Huntsman Table

Happy 2017, guys! Hope January has been epic so far and if its been more blah than anything else… I have a fun giveaway to perk up your interest! So recently, I’ve gone through the interior design blues, you ladies KNOW what I’m talking about too. You look at your space and you get this urge to purge and start from scratch. I kinda go through this a lot, yikes, and to my defense, I don’t usually do anything about it. However, I sooo did this month and I’m loving all the new sprucing. Especially this brand new table from Walker…

Audible; perfect Holiday travel companion

It’s here, we’ve finally entered the last month of 2016 and I just can’t believe it’s almost over! However, I’m not complaining about the pine tree smell in the house and the license to drink as many hot cocoa’s as I can fancy. So, December, you can stick around as long as you’d like! So blame my current obsession with old Gilmore girls re-runs, but I’ve been “jonesing” to curl up in bed with a good book…and apply to Yale. Ok, well maybe NOT the Yale part, but you get the gist. In reality though, what mom (of small children) on the…

In these shoes

they say ‘you never truly know a person until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes’. well, if our shoes could talk, they would tell some adventurous stories for sure. spending one on one time with each of my kiddos is hard to come by. real life happens, and we don’t always get to share those special dates with each other. you know the ones; no interruptions, no screaming tantrums in the background, and no dog barking…just REAL great one on one time. today Phoenix and I made the most of it, tried to create a special space to get that time, to catch up…and…

the Bouqs

In the infamous words of Claude Monet, “I must have flowers always and always”. My exact sentiment, my friend! I have had the best obsession with flowers since, well, always. My heart skipped a beat when I heard of the amazing online flower shop the Bouqs they offer farm fresh styled bouquets and they’re just STUNNING. I was like a kid on Christmas day when my bouq arrived… also, receiving ranunculus, softened the blow to the fact that I murdered the seeds I planted earlier this year (not blessed with a green thumb). Packaging is everything, people! I love receiving items…
