Rice Cake Recipes

If you’re like me and live a gluten free life, you know it can suck trying to find new recipes that are the equivalent to everyday favorites.

Let me just say this… I love bread and every little bit of gluten in it. It just doesn’t love me, ha!

So it’s pushed me out of my comfort zone and caused me to look into other options.

Today I’ll be sharing 4 really yummy rice cake topping recipes that make for THE perfect snack!

Personally, I’m obsessed with the Quaker rice cake flavors: Lightly salted and caramel, but any rice cake will work.

First up…

Avocado + Fried Egg


Rice cake

1 egg

Half an avocado

Everything but the bagel seasoning

1 tbsp of butter


Add butter to frying pan and crack egg over pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes.

Mash up avocado and spread on rice cake.

Place fried egg overtop avocado and sprinkle with everything but the bagel seasoning.

Nutella/ Banana


1 tbsp Nutella

Banana slices

Honey drizzle


Spread Nutella on rice cake. Place banana slices on top and drizzle with honey.

Cream Cheese + Fruit preserves


1 tbsp cream cheese

1 tsp your choice fruit preserve (blackberry pictured)

Fruit slices (your choice)

Pumpkin seeds


Spread cream cheese on rice cake.

Add preserve at the center of rice cake.

Top with fruit slices.

Sprinkle with pumpkin seeds.

Brie + Apples


1-2 slices of Brie cheese

Apple slices


Place slices of Brie on rice cake.

Place rice cake in oven or microwave just long enough to melt cheese.

Top with apple slices.

Each of these recipes take about 5 minutes to make and taste SO good!
