Gaylord Rockies Resort

Colorado has always been on my bucket list of places to visit. So when my mom surprised me with a trip a girls trip to Denver as a birthday present, I was floored!

Since neither one of us had ever been to Denver, we had no clue where to stay, where to eat, places to check out.

I asked around and knew my sweet friend Emily Kaufman would have all of the recommendations. Traveling is kind of her thing! 😉 Right away she suggested the Gaylord Rockies Resort.

I started doing a bit of research on the resort before arriving and was obsessed with all of the amenities available. When you think of a pool at a resort, you might imagine a hot tub or two. Not this place… the Gaylord Rockies has it ALL. Several indoor and outdoor hot tubs, heated pools, indoor water slides, and an outdoor lazy river. It’s insanely cool!

I thought I knew what to expect but the moment I drove up to the Gaylord Rockies, it exceeded my expectations. The one word I could use to describe it is majestic!

They greeted us at valet by opening our car door and asked us if they could take our luggage to our room. My daughter felt so boss, haha!

Disclaimer: masks are required at all times inside the resort. When this photo was taken, there were no people within 20 ft.

The lobby is STUNNING you guys. Absolutely breathtaking. My favorite is the large scale window in the lower deck lobby overlooking the Rockies. It does NOT get any better than that! Those sunsets were glorious.

This lower lobby is where all of the restaurants are located. They have the Mountain Pass Sports Bar and the delicious Vista Montagne, which is an Italian restaurant. The food was INCREDIBLE at both places! We truly indulged ourselves on this trip.

Food at the Mountain Pass Sports Bar
Crispy Brussel sprouts from the Vista Montagne are to die for! Make sure to order these 🙂
So delicious!!
Such a great atmosphere

During our stay at the resort I had the opportunity to check out their Relâche Spa. It is such a gorgeous spa. The mood is relaxing. I was pampered throughout the whole experience.

I had the 50 minute Relief and Recovery Massage. It was incredible! I felt my stress melt away. Hot stones were added to my massage and let me tell you that makes all the difference. I never wanted it to end, haha. Thank you Bernice for being a wonderful masseuse!

Hot stones are the best!
This is me, utterly relaxed after that amazing massage! Also, masks are required at the spa at all times, including while receiving massages. My masseuse had left the room and I was able to take it off at this point.

Details of my spa treatment:

“Combine the plentiful benefits of custom bodywork and plant therapy in one session by harnessing the anti-inflammatory properties of organic hemp-derived cbd. This massage soothes aches and pains while promoting relaxation. This innovative treatment helps to calm mind, body, and spirit.” – Relâche Spa.

Hope you’ve been able to see a little bit of the magic at the Gaylord Resort through my eyes. It’s a wonderful place to visit! Next time you’re in Colorado, make sure to book your stay. You’ll be so glad you did!
