My hubby and I are celebrating our 13th anniversary of being married! It might not be a magical milestone number, but to us, it’s a pretty special year. It’s the year our oldest son will become a teenager, it’s the year I’m entering a new decade, it’s full of big moments, and we wanted to make sure we savored it by doing a couples photoshoot.

Since I happen to be a professional photographer, I don’t often ask for help in that department. Other than our son- our son is automatically drafted into that position, ha! Don’t feel bad for him, he loves being able to handle a heavy dslr. Also, can I just say our kid is a freaking wizard when it comes to photography?? Because he is! You’re about to see shots he took! These poses are simple, candid, and magical all at the same time. All you need is a forest and someone to help you capture YOUR moment!

Some examples of sweet and fun poses for your next shoot:

Natural lighting is THE best lighting. If you want to capture magical shots on your own, head out to your nearest park 45 min to an hour before sunset. You’ll be able to shoot in the delicious golden hour that us photographers always chase after.

You can do all of the editing on your phone too! You can import images and download Lightroom. There are plenty of apps that offer free Lightroom presets to add that sought after editorial vibe.

It’s so easy you guys! If you’re in a pinch and not able to hire a professional photographer this season, no worries, you can still get the look. Also, if you CAN hire a photographer, show them support. We all need it 🙂
