The Bees Nees Getaway- The Treehouse

As I continue my review of our experience at both locations of The Bees Nees Getaway rentals, be sure to check out my first post to learn more about The Bees Nees- Cottage.

Now that you’re all caught up, let’s talk about the Treehouse. Also, full disclosure, it’s not an actual treehouse for those wondering, ha!

First impression of this house was “wow, this is located in a wooded wonderland”. The drive up to the house was beautiful. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood of Southern Shores with access to the sound right across the street.

Random: Going to be completely honest here, (just in case a neighbor or two were watching haha) I struggled driving up the steep driveway. I’m a Florida girl, we’re just used to flat surfaces.

Right away, I knew why this house was named the treehouse. It’s such a lovely area with tall trees surrounding the property.

When we walked in we were greeted by an enchanting entryway. Did I mention the front door is pink? Our house has a pink front door as well so I felt right at home! Really, though, It’s the hanging surfboard for me. I have say, the Bees Nees properties have THE best decor. Hands down!

This house definitely has more of a modern beachy vibe, which is so us!

In this house, the rooms all have a Jack and Jill style bathroom. Meaning, each room shares a bathroom with the room beside it. Which I have to say, was so fun for the kids!

During our stay, our area experienced the first snowfall in about 3 years! That was a special treat for us that we could share that moment at this lovely house.

We cozied up to the wood burning fireplace and cooked up all the treats.

The sound access is right across the end of the driveway! So wonderful

Every evening we took our walk to the sound and watched the sunset. It was magical. This sound has kayak access as well. The house has kayaks and bicycles available for use. We took the bikes out one day and even though it was freezing outside, we had SO much fun!
