My Pantene 14- Day Challenge!

Trying to decide which is worse. Frizzy hair or… actually no, that’s it. Bad hair days due to the frizz horror show on my head is my worst nightmare.
I’ve tried a lot of products and even switched up how I blow dry my hair. Including, reducing the amount of heat I use to style on a daily basis. Some days that seemed to do the trick, but there were definitely more “meh” hair days than “move over Beyoncé” ones.
When I heard of the Pantene 14-day challenge. I thought “sure, why not?” Hoping for amazing results but not expecting a major difference. Because like I said earlier, I’ve tried too many things out there to keep me skeptical for a long while.
This challenge seemed simple enough. All I had to do was choose the product from their collection that best suited my hair type. Since my hair leans toward the dry side, I went with the Pantene Daily Moisture Renewal. Also, can we talk about how amazing it smells?! Such a great scent that lasts a while! These things matter to me!
I was really excited to get this thing started. I just wanted to know what it felt like to love your hair on a more frequent basis and not just the random day it behaved.
Right from the start I could feel a difference in the texture as I rinsed off the conditioner. It was SO soft and manageable. Usually when using other conditioners, my hair continued to produce plenty of knots and would end up feeling coarse. I was stunned that it was that fast acting.
I went about 2-3 days without washing my hair to keep more of the moisture locked in. I didn’t realize this, but I had been drying out my hair in the worst way. I would literally wash it everyday before this challenge. Yikes! Way to strip the hydration. Ugh.
Before I knew it I was on day 7 and I literally saw a visible difference! It looked soft. It actually looked AND felt soft.
But… before I show you that shot of Day-7. You need to see what I was dealing with just a few weeks shy of starting this challenge.
Below is a photo of my hair a few months ago. Perfect shot of stringy, frizzy hair. Or at least in my eyes it is. I want you guys to see the difference I’m talking about:
All I see are frizzy ends! This is how I spent most of my summer you guys. It was awful. Amazing hair can help you feel unstoppable in all that you do. The exact opposite could be said for hair that is untamable. It just ruins your mood! It did for me. A constant cycle of “I think I’m just going to cut it all off”.
Thank goodness for this challenge though. It’s made me love my hair. Seriously. I found myself looking forward to getting ready for the day. Instead of dreading having to style my locks. Take a look at Day-7
Can you see that softness?! Look, NO frizz! Also, I feel that I have to point out this was a very humid day. I was outside most of this day and my hair did not feel the need to defy me. Beautifully full of volume with soft curls. I mean, wow. Is this real life??
I have seen more and more manageable hair as the days have gone by. Even when I wear it straight it looks I’ve had it professionally blown out.
If you’re reading this thinking, “that’s great but it won’t work for my hair”, you’re wrong!! Pantene has a collection for ALL hair types. They created these products with us in mind. As impossible as it seemed at first, it was possible to leave those bad hair days behind.
At Day-14 I’m THE happiest with my overall results! You can actually have a new and improved look (and feel) to your hair. Just two weeks and you can have great hair that offers a boost of confidence.
