With summer break right around the corner, I have been looking for some great summer shoes that will transition well in between activities. Because no two days are the same, I definitely was in search of something I could wear that would hold up well. Because let’s be real, no one is going to have fun if mama can’t walk in her shoes! Am I right??

For the last couple of years, I’ve had really good luck, scoring some pretty amazing shoes from Famous Footwear. So, naturally I took a peek in there first! Going in, I had no idea what style I was looking for. It’s kind of a struggle to find a functional, summery, stylish shoe all rolled up into one. I figured I would probably have to compromise on style and go for comfort. Ugh, right?? But no… not this season! <insert happy dance>  I found THE most comfortable Birkenstock  sandals! With a molded footbed AND 100% waterproof. Best of all, in true Birkenstock fashion, they’re super cute!

I love the fact they’re easy to slip-on, and a dream to wear. Leaves more time to play, which is what summer break is all about. I can remember so many times I’ve bought sandals that I thought were adorable only to cringe in pain from the blisters they left me with… and seriously, so damaging to our feet.  I knew I wanted something way different! These sandals were completely affordable and worth every penny. They’ve been my go to  pair these last few weeks and they’ve already proven to be the kind of functional and transitional shoe I was looking for.

These guys go well with any look, too! From cute spring dresses, jeans and a t-shirt, to beach wear. Now that, my friends, is a unicorn! Think about what shoes is that functional for you! Some of my cutest sandals are leather and in no way shape or form can they handle the beach. All my bases are covered with these!
