Celebrations at the Omni Homestead
If you have been here a while, you know my family and I are huge fans of the Omni Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia. In fact, we have visited the Homestead in just about every season of the year. I have to say, each time we visit, we discover something new. It’s the comfort of knowing something familiar but also uncovering an exciting experience all at the same time. In May of 2024 we decided to visit the Omni to celebrate my son’s 14th birthday and a Mother’s Day weekend getaway.
From the moment we walked into our room, our son felt incredibly special and celebrated! There was a delicious spread of yummy treats, along with a sweet birthday card signed by the staff. He was SO excited!
Shortly after our arrival we had dinner reservations at our favorite restaurant at the Omni-Jefferson’s. At dinner, Phoenix was surprised with THE most amazing birthday cake. Everyone joined in with a chorus of “happy birthday”, it was truly a sweet moment for him.
The newly renovated resort, has so many beautiful spaces to see. We discovered there were movies playing every night in the 1923 Theatre. Concessions and everything! We popped in for a showing of ‘West Side Story’. Also, Phoenix was pleasantly surprised to find the indoor pool is open 24 hrs. We spent most of the night swimming and it was majestic. It’s one of the prettiest pools I’ve ever seen.
It was a night of playing games, watching movies, and exploring the resort.
The next few days we enjoyed a lot of fun family moments like a horse drawn carriage ride through lush paths and Mother’s Day themed activities like a “Paint With Mom” art class, as well as a family soak at the Warm Springs Pool.
Mother’s Day was absolutely lovely. The weather was perfect. I had so many fun activities planned for the day like a morning at the spa, followed by a Mother’s Day brunch. They even had a photographer set up in the lobby to take complimentary Mother’s Day photos for guests. They were printed out on the spot! So fun! It was such a treat getting away for the weekend to celebrate Phoenix and Mother’s Day. The Omni Homestead knows how to pamper their guests and give them the royal treatment.
